We’d recommend…Mimi’s

Combining classic French techniques with traditional, seasonal British produce, Mimi’s puts the two together in a café and restaurant with a Mediterranean soul.

Founded by two friends, Nathan and Sam, this local eatery on Queens Road is ideal for relaxing in style. Why not stop by for a coffee and pastry from 8am on a chilly weekend morning, and bring your dog, as much to our delight, it’s dog friendly too!

Nikki’s Coffee House, Weybridge

This small, independently owned coffee shop is right in the heart of Weybridge and is dog friendly. They say they are like a family and their customer certainly agree.

If you’re heading to Nikki’s on a Saturday, after dropping your pooch off at a particular dog groomers in Weybridge, it’s recommended you book in advance as they do get busy.

Top dog friendly places in Weybridge… for a stroll

Here at Doggy Styling, we do love a good park. If it were allowed, we’d take all the dogs that visit us out for a walk. But let’s face it, our grooming team wouldn’t be too pleased with us, especially on muddy days. So, we’ll give you a list of some of the best open spaces to walk your pup instead. After all January is 'Walk Your Pet Month'...

We’d recommend… River Wey

River Wey has it all…literally. From multiple different trails which reach views of the North Downs, to boat trips and ferry crossings. If you’re taking the dog for a stroll, look out for some of the wildlife including damselflies, Himalayan balsam plants and even bats, which our groomer Jazz will be very pleased about.

They even have a tea room, as well as the Book Shed, a tiny book store, which is open over winter for coffee and cakes.

Why not get involved in the winter walks, perfect for you and your pooch to get out into the fresh air, chat with people and enjoy the scenery.

Monument Green

If you’ve been out on the high street, why not stop for a break at Monument Green, a small area of grassland with public benches. Historically, the area was used as a bull ring, with bull baiting potentially taking place there. Look out for the York Column, built in 1822 as a memorial for the late Duchess of York, a resident at Oaklands House, you can’t miss it.

Chertsey Meads

Just outside of the Weybridge town centre is Chertsey Meads, a 41-acre nature reserve.

It’s a wide-open space, perfect for family days out, weekend dates, runners and of course, dog walkers. Why not treat your pup to a riverside stroll, so you can both enjoy the views of the Thames?

Did you know, amazingly over 400 plant species have been recorded in Chertsey Meads, and over 108 different species of birds!

Top dog friendly places in Weybridge… for food and drinks

Speaking of bites to eat… did you know that King Henry VIII built the former Oatlands Palace in the north of the town? We can imagine quite a few banquets fit for a king were held there. Now though, we have a wonderful range of eateries that now populate Weybridge town centre. So read on to find out…

We’d recommend… The Queen’s Head

Right in the centre of Weybridge, The Queen’s Head is a much-loved pub where visitors can spend a few hours over a pint or two or enjoy a lunch. Boasting impressive reviews and happy dog lovers, The Queen’s Head in Weybridge is definitely a great place to pass by with your pup.

As one visitor said of the pub, “dog friendly is an understatement – they love dogs!” Looks like they have a fair bit in common with us!

The Old Crown, Weybridge

A traditional family-run venue, which sits by the river Thames. The pub itself is a timber-clad, Grade II listed building a riverside garden and conservatory. It has a traditional menu, with three bars serving real ale and often hosts live music in a conversational setting.

With plenty of seats inside and outside, there’s space for your dog to keep itself occupied. There’s even a foot passenger ferry nearby, which you can summon by a bell to cross to the other side of the Thames!

Top dog friendly places near Weybridge… for a run

We’d recommend…Esher Common

At over 190 acres Esher Common is a very big green space. One that your dog will love to run around. Esher Common is a mixture of heath and woods and Black Pond, which is full of wildlife, is worth a visit. If you’re a keen cyclist, there are a few cycle paths to enjoy too. The Common is well spread out and ideal for a run or walk.

Brooklands Community Park

At almost 5 acres in size, the community park is a mix of children’s playgrounds, a skatepark, and even an off-road cycle course. Sounds pretty good for planning an adventurous day out. If you’re visiting Brooklands on a Saturday, your pet pooch might want to join in with the Parkrun, which takes place early every weekend.
